Obverse 26. Now almost always with the border broad and deep at the lower left: "Shielded Hair."
Reverse GG. Right ribbon is too short without a bent-down end. Both stem ends are short, particularly the right. The lowest right leaf pair is weak and incomplete. Seven berries left and six right with the first, fifth, and seventh on the left smaller than the rest. Scaling in central and right fields, slanting up slightly to right, is plainest near M. 0 is above the adjacent N and E is above C-N, a little too close to N, and leaning right.
Die states: 1. Perfect dies with the obverse die vertically misaligned. The obverse border is complete although narrower and weaker at the right. Very rare.
II. Obverse die vertically misaligned with the left border broad and heavy, the upper right border incomplete. Faint clash marks in the hair below the cap and above the hair right of the cap. Faint crack from rim to finals.
