Obverse 16.

Reverse S. Triangular notch in the left ribbon just below its crossing the left stem end. Seven berries on each branch with the four inner berries on the left branch of normal size, all others minute. Several incomplete leaves: upper one of pair nearest UN, topmost one at right, and outer one at (R)I are all hollow; innermost leaf of the triplet and lower leaf of the pair above (N)E are both fragmented; a piece is missing out of the lowest right leaf. u is below N and T is below adjacent A-E. A(M) is usually weaker than other letters. Final zero is higher than its neighbor. Lump on middle of the inner leaf of pair at D.

Die states: 1. Obverse has faint triple clash marks below the chin, cap, and u. Reverse perfect.

II. Clash marks mostly polished off the die. No cracks.

III. Reverse cracked from rim through middle of D, later through the wreath to tops of CE, at first faint.

IV. Crack develops from the rim between AT. At first this is only microscopic. Later, it becomes plain, eventually reaching the wreath.

V. First crack has become a heavy break joining the tops of CE, with nearby bulging. The crack between AT reaches the wreath.

VI. A branch from the crack of state III joins both NS. Crack of state IV extends to O(NE). Extensive bulging.
