Obverse 10. Plain chip in the field, almost vertical, left of two curl points with another, thinner chip left of it, near the border. Lowest lock is heavy and doubled. Plain shoulder loop. LIBERTY and date are more closely spaced than on previous dies. Always with clash marks.

Reverse F. "Tailed" reverse, now always with the crack through R.

Die states: 1. Single heavy clash mark below and right of the cap, the latter from a long-stemmed berry; reverse clash mark from the truncation and cap, the former below S0; weaker and with extensive light rust.

II. Extra clash marks below LIBERTY and right of the face. Double reverse clash marks from the cap at lTED and the wreath, from hair in the left wreath, and from the top of head above the fraction.
