Obverse 10. "Marred Field," as preceding.

Reverse O. Sprawled ribbon ends and huge dentils, with the right bow crowded into the adjacent leaf, as on the next, but unlike any other dies in the series. The problem is to identify worn specimens without the distinctive die break. R(I) was corrected from an E. The left ribbon end is pointed. Berry below center of R; on reverse P it is below the upright. Normal leaf pairs above (N)E and next to UN; on reverse P one of the leaves in each pair is incomplete. Dull leaf point leans right and points to the right pendant of (N)T; on reverse P this point is sharper, vertical, and points to the right upright of T. Point of the leaf below T(E) is below the extreme right edge of the right foot of this letter. On reverse P it is below the right edge of the upright. Faint spine from the leaf below R(I); another at right end of the fraction bar.

Die states: 1. No reverse break.

II. "Fatal Break" (mint error specialists would call it a retained cud) taking out D and much of the space between D s, touching top of the adjacent E. A crack from the cud goes through bases of ST and through A to the rim. Another goes below D. through two pairs of leaves into the field above CE.
