Reverse T. Type of 1795. Four triplets on the left branch and two on the right, flanking IT, ED, O(N), c(E), M, and ER, the last with its inner leaf concealing part of the wreath stem. Five berries left and four right, the top two berries on the left are vertically aligned. Paired berries between (N)T and E(R) are divided by the inner leaf of a triplet, not by the wreath stem. Extremely long stems, the left almost touching u.
Die states: I. Clashed obverse with perfect reverse. II.
Cracked from the rim to R.

III. The state II crack extends through the tops of RICA to the rim.
IV. Extremely heavy clash marks. On the obverse above and below the ribbon and at the throat. On the reverse from BER and adjacent dentils at the fraction and right. A branch of the state.
III crack from R continues below I and through a leaf to the stem and right ribbon.
V. Another branch of the state III crack extends through CA, the right ribbon and denominator, to the rim below the left ribbon.
VI. Shattered reverse with rim break involving the tops of CA. The state III crack is heavy and the obverse clash marks are fading.
VII. Reverse has an internal cud (a piece loose in the die) at sa.
VIII. Reverse rim break involving the tops of ER. Clash mark from R at the ribbon end.
IX. Reverse rim break involving the left ribbon end. X. Reverse rim break involving the tops of RICA. Equivalents:

Remarks: This variety sometimes shows a double profile. Earliest states of this number may have been struck before some previous combinations, number 30 in particular. Often on concave-convex blanks, later die states may always be on these blanks. This reverse resembles K and was possibly made the same day.
