Obverse 10. Distinctively for this group, the date is closely spaced and curved to follow the curvature of the border, and the 7 is low. LIBERTY is more closely and evenly spaced than on the preceding obverses.

Reverse H.

Die states: 1. Perfect obverse die. Reverse was struck before grinding down.

II. Reverse ground down. The junction between knot and right wreath stem is vague.

III. Cracked from the lowest curl through 1796 below tops of digits.

IV. Obverse cracked from the rim through upright of T to the head. Reverse drastically reground, as in number 12 state V. Large lump below E(D) which increases in size. One example has been seen on which the central reverse appears to be buckling. This is less obvious on numbers 16-17.

V. Reverse lump is larger below sto) with central bulging.
