Obverse 20. 1 and 7 are closely spaced. IB lean right with their uprights about parallel; base of T is below R. Upper serif of B is broken, hand corrected, and elongated. Die chips between RT.

Edge: Usually plain (IV). Chris Young reports this with edge II. Robinson S. Brown, Jr. has a state II coin with edge
V. Others with edge V have been reported including an example in the collection of Dr. Harry Salyards.
Die states: I. Obverse without clash marks. Reverse as number 28, state II.
II. Obverse with triple clash marks near the ribbons and throat, spread farther apart than usual. Faint crack through tops of ATE. The dies are axially misaligned.
III. V-shaped break between RT. Reverse break above IC now affects five dentils.
IV. Cracked from the rim to neck.
V. Deeper clash marks at the throat. The break between RT is heavier. Cracked from the rim left of 1 to the lowest curl.
