Remarks: Low-grade examples have often been mistaken for number 14, which see. The Murdoch, Halpern coin has a double profile under the nose and chin. A triple struck example appeared in the 1975 EAC sale, lot 560. R. Tettenhorst has a triple struck example with the second impression rotated about 30 degrees. Evidence of the third impression is 95% off-center at 10:30. Another example has the first strike 33% off center at 10:30 and the second strike centered. See "Oops!" chapter.
