Obverse 3. Bases of IB nearly touch. Broken feet of TY were repaired by hand. Arc visible leftward through the shoulder loop into the hair.
Reverse D. High numerator. Leaf touches both base and pendant of (N)T. All TS have broken right feet.
Die states: 1. Obverse clash marks near ribbon and right of throat. No lump below jaw. Newcomb 4-D.
II. Minute lump below jaw. At least two, later at least four, sets of clash marks above the ribbon, above the nose, and below the chin. Reverse has at least four, later at least nine, sets of clash marks in the wreath, left and right of ONE CENT, from bust near A(M), from ribbon near E(D), and from top of the head near the fraction and ribbons. Newcomb 4b-D.
III. Lump larger and extends to junction of the jaw and neckline. Reverse has faint cracks from rim through tops of STA, and joining tops of TE(S). Newcomb 4c-Db.
IV. Lump taller with its base horizontal. Reverse rim break on STA. Newcomb 4d-Dc.
