Large Letters and Fraction Unless Otherwise Noted

Obverse 10. IB almost touch and bases of ER are very close. Left upright of T is repunched. In date, 1 is farther from the curl than on any other die.

Reverse N. Large letters and fraction. Six berries left and five right. Repunching is visible at right upright of D. Shortest fraction bar with large fraction.

Die states: I. "Perfect dies." Reverse clash marks from the hair left of O(N). Newcomb 11-M.

II. Reverse cracked from the rim through E(D) to wreath and left base of N(E). Another crack from the rim through left foot of S(T), to wreath, and upright of F to rim. Buckling develops at ATE. Newcomb 11-Mb.

III. Cracks from rim through E(S) to the top leaf and from the rim through final S to top leaf. A third crack extends from the rim toward the wreath just left of O(F). The bulge at ATE extends to (S)T and becomes very heavy. Newcomb 11-Mc.

IV. Crack joins tops of TES. Another crack from rim between TA toward wreath.

V. Retained cud beginning on, and eventually obliterating, STATES, later extending to OF, weakening 180 and the lower curls.

A later state may exist with a full cud on STATES OF.

On the four Large Letters dies, and on 1804 reverse A and 1807 reverse C, the top of u is closed, and all TS have a notch on the left upright just above the base.
