Obverse 13.

Reverse R. Small letters and fraction. Six berries left and five right. U is slightly high. All NS have broken feet and "caps" (top serifs on right upright): see Remarks. Traces of recutting is visible on upper part of the right ribbon

Die states: I. Without the obverse crack of state II. Rare.

II. Obverse crack from rim opposite the mouth to the bust point, forming a V with the die cut described at number 21. Faint triple clash marks near the ribbon. Clash marks from hair within the wreath, from profile near ERI, from drapery below TE through S 0, and from the neck right of (N)E.

III. Reverse has a faint crack from the rim through final 0, fraction bar, left ribbon, and to middle of the left stem. Newcomb 14c-Qb.

IV. Crack through bases of 1803. Newcomb 14d-Qb.

V. Rim break on 1803 and extending to below the lowest curl. Reverse crack from rim between D S, through the wreath, terminal leaves, left edge of O(F), and back to the rim. Newcomb 14e-Qc.

VI. Cracked from the base of 3 to the drapery. Reverse bulge develops at STA with the crack heavier. Newcomb 14e-Qd.

VII. Reverse crack from base of (A)T to near base of the top left leaf. Newcomb 14e-Qe.

Rarity 3.

Remarks: This reverse was doubtless left over from 1801 or 1802. It has the broken N punch found on 1801 reverse J which was later used on 1803 number 7.
