Obverse 3. Tip of 5 is buried in the bust. L almost touches cap and u are closer together than on previous obverses. rest all lean to the right, so that each letter looks lower than its right hand neighbor. Junction of forelock and brow is below the right foot of T.

Reverse C. ONE CENT high. Triple leaf at ED. Five berrieson each branch. Denominator is skewed left with 1 out from under the fraction bar and numerator above the right curve of first O.

Edge: Normally lettered as before. But see Remarks.

Die states: I. Perfect dies.

II. Light double clash marks below the cap, at chin and neck, and at the wreath near RICA.

III. Heavier clash marks on both sides, four sets in all.
