Obverse 2. Entire upper edge of the top stroke of 5 is buried in the bust with most of the lower edge protruding from the truncation. LIB is bellows ERTY with B leaning right. Junction of the forelock and brow is below the center of T.

Die states: I. Obverse without cracks. Reverse as number 1, state II. Struck before the later states of number 1.

II. Reverse as number 1, state III. Crack through OF A.

III. Bulge develops at 7.

IV. Cracked from rim between 95 to top of 9 and the bust.

V. Faint traces of rust marks below the bust. Reverse cracked through TES, later extending through STA to the rim right of D. Eventually; cracks extend entirely around the legend.
