Obverse 9.
Reverse L. Fraction 1/000. Left stem has an elongated point, nearly touching the right base of u. Chip below E(D). Bases of u and D are low.
Die states: I. Crumbling atop RT. Clash marks from the dentils through LIBERTY. Reverse has a clash mark from the neck right of (N)E. Newcomb 9c-G.
II. Rim break on the very tops of RT. Cracked from the rim to the curve of D.
III. Rim break above IB is much heavier. The rim break of state II extends down the outer curve of R.
IV. The rim break at RT is still heavier, touching the left top of Y. Reverse has heavy dash marks from the drapery at ATES 0 and from the hair at the berry left of C(E). Newcomb 9d-Gb.
V. Rim break now covers the outer curve of R and the left arm of T. Reverse with additional clash marks at STA from the curls. Newcomb 9e-Gb.
VI. Huge rim break at end of the drapery. Newcomb 9f-Gb. Very rare.
