PCGS Set Registry Update

The country of Indonesia consists of more than 17,000 islands with over 280 million inhabitants, and it is rich with coal deposits. The nation has been central to many trade routes for centuries. The coin shown above is a 1973 Indonesian 100 Rupiah, which was minted at Perum Peruri, Karawang, Indonesia. This copper-nickel coin displays a Minangkabau tribal house on the obverse which is also known as Rumah Gadang. These dwellings are traditional housing units that display a curved, buffalo horn-shaped roof. Additionally, these homes are a reflection of Minangkabau tradition where property and family lineage are traced through the female. This coin and several others with Indonesian culture portrayed on the coins are included in the new PCGS Set Registry listing titled Indonesia 1970s Multiple Denomination Set, Circulation Strikes (1970-1979).

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build.
