PCGS Set Registry Update

The ABC Peso of Cuba was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in the United States from 1934 to 1939. Planchets that were used for U.S. silver dollars were utilized for producing the ABC Peso. These coins were shipped from the U.S. and held in the vaults of the National Bank of Cuba to back up paper currency, such as silver certificates, that were issued for circulation. These coins remained in vaults until 1951, when they were soon melted for their silver value. Collectors have long appreciated the elegant and simplistic design of the Cuban ABC Peso, and 1937 is the key date of this series. PCGS Set Registry has recently listed the Cuban ABC Peso Set, Circulation Strikes (1934-1939) for collectors to consider building.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
