CoinFacts Narrative Update

The total mintage of the 1860 Pointed Bust Indian Cent is unknown, but researcher Rick Snow identified seven different Pointed Bust obverse dies as of 2014, and he estimated that only 5% of the original mintage of 1860 Indian Cents consisted of Pointed Busts.   Read more.

PCGS Set Registry Update

The Royal Mint of Australia opened in 1965 within a suburb of the city of Canberra. This country's national mint of Australia is able to produce two million coins per day. Countries from the Pacific Rim and Asia have had their coins minted by the Royal Mint of Australia as well. Many innovative coins have been produced there over the years, such as the six-coin silver proof set that has been issued for over a decade now. Six denominations are in the 2025 set, which includes the 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, $1, and $2 denominations. All of these coins are struck in .999-fine silver, they bear the effigy of Charles III, and are finished with beautiful frosted details. The $1 coin shown above is part of the 2025 Australian Silver Proof Set for collectors to consider building.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
