PCGS Set Registry Update
Coins from former (or current) English colonies, such as Canada, have always been popular with collectors worldwide. Canadian coinage bearing the portrait of Queen Victoria first circulated in 1858 and a few denominations were coined. The one cent denomination dated 1858 has four varieties that PCGS recognizes, and many more have been discovered over the years. PCGS Set Registry has introduced Everyman sets in the past, which predicate the highest grade attainable at AU58. Collectors may spend many years looking for varieties as some may be scarcer than others to find in uncirculated condition. These budget-friendly Everyman sets have been welcomed by our members and continue to grow in popularity. Shown above is a cent dated 1893 featuring a Repunched 9, a variety that is part of the Canadian Everyman Large Cents Set with Varieties, Circulation Strikes (1858-1920) that PCGS recently listed.
Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
