Jaime Hernandez:
The 1989-P Washington Quarter is difficult to locate in high Uncirculated grades. Most coins are struck well. However, many coins tend to come with light scuffs and scratches which keep them from receiving the MS65 grade and higher.
MS65: In MS65, they are hard to find but they are out there with proper searching.
MS66: In MS66 grades, they are very difficult to find. In fact, they are as difficult if not more difficult to find than some of the earlier silver quarters struck from the 1930’s. As of 2010, there are more 1934 Silver Washington Quarters in MS66 grades and higher, than there are 1989P’s.
MS67: In MS67, they are extremely difficult to locate with this being the highest grade available.
