1856 1C Flying Eagle S-3 PR63 PCGS | Choice Unc (14: 5;5;4). An outstanding example with hardly an impairment. The Snow-3 die pair is the original striking of the Flying Eagle cent in late 1856. It is in truth; a MS coin; but PCGS calls these proofs. It is obviously a MS striking due to the soft details on the eagles breast and the wreath. There are no scratches or hairlines that might account for the grade given. There are a few planchet voids on the obverse; but these are as-struck and are not grade-limiting. It is a coppery color with a satiny luster. | $27,500.00 |
