Walter Breen
(Mint report: 727,221)
The Boulton planchets of November 1804 were all used up by June 4, 1807. His next shipment departed Liverpool in August and reached the Mint about October 23, 1807. It contained 44,772 pounds of blanks, which lasted until about June 1, 1809. These blanks may be distinguishable although nobody has studied cent edges for this period.
Many of these were still on hand in 1808. According to the Comptroller's Report, on December 31, 1807, 12,500 coined. cents and 1,623,695 cent planchets were in the Coiner's hands ready for stamping. Coinage resumed. January 20, 1808.
Quarterly figures from the Director's Report:

The above data derive from Julian, from the Director's Report, and from the Comptroller's Report, (R W. Julian "Die Steel Shortage Plagues Coiner," Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine, October 1973, pp. 884 ff.; Director's Report and Comptrollers Report both in American State Papers-Finance, Vol. II.)
Many of these may have been borne earlier dates, possibly as early as 1803.
