PCGS Set Registry Update

During World War I, many strategic endeavors were being planned. One such plan was the capture of the Gallipoli Peninsula, which was part of the Ottoman Empire. This was a mission for soldiers from Australia and New Zealand. They were known as the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, commonly referenced by the acronym ANZAC. It was their mission to take over Constantinople and clear a path for allied navies via the Black Sea. Unfortunately this mission was not successful, and the casualties ballooned on both sides. Citizens of Australia and New Zealand pay homage to the memory of those who were lost fighting for the cause on April 25, which was the day the troops landed for their mission; the annual memorial is known as ANZAC Day, which honors all those who served their country for the greater good of humanity. The Perth Mint struck a 2015 $1 coin in aluminum-bronze commemorating a 100 Years of ANZAC Gallipoli. This coin is part of the 2015 Australian One Dollar Circulation Strikes Aluminum Bronze Perth Mint Year Set for collectors to consider building.
