PCGS Set Registry Update

Gold has been used as a store of value throughout history. Prices for gold have been quoted in a standardized weight known as a troy ounce for many decades. The weight consists of 31.1 grams of .999-pure gold. Not everybody can afford one troy ounce of gold as the price has continued to rise throughout the years. However, smaller units, such as a 1/2 ounce and 1/4 ounce, have been minted for collectors. The 1/4 sovereign series, which is equal to 1.83 grams of gold, has been issued by the British Royal Mint since 2009. The mint offers collectors the opportunity to buy a fractional amount of gold each year in a proof finish to the present day. This 2022 1/4 sovereign depicts Charles III as the monarch, and the coin was minted to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II. Her monarch was the longest in England's history, and this coin is part of the PCGS Set Registry listing titled British Charles III and Elizabeth II Quarter Sovereign Set with Varieties, Proof (2009-present).

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build.
