It cost the United States Mint 2.06 cents to produce each 2018 circulation strike Lincoln Cent. This was up from the previous year, as in 2017, it cost 1.82 cents to produce each Lincoln Cent. The price increase was mainly due to the higher prices of the metals used to produce the coins.
The Mint struck over 4 billion, 2018-P circulation strike Lincoln Cents, therefore, collectors can choose as many nice examples as they'd like. The coins are only scarce in MS68 condition or higher.
