The 1997 Uncirculated Silver Eagle has one of the lower mintages in the series. It is not a key date but it is one of the more scarcer issues. It's mintage is under 5 million, while the mintage of the 2011 Uncirculated Silver Eagle is over 40 million as a comparison.
Most 1997 Uncirculated silver Eagles came in nice condition ranging from about MS68 to MS69 condition. Perfect MS70 graded examples are very scarce.
