The 2023-W Uncirculated Gold Eagles were first offered on the U.S. Mint ‘s website on June 01, 2023. The maximum authorized mintage for the coins was set at 10,000. For the first 24 hours in which the coins were released by the U.S. Mint, the Mint only allowed customers to order up to three coins per household. The issue price on the first day of sales for each coin was $2,820. That same day that the coins were released, the spot price of gold was at about $1,977 an ounce.
