The $50 2022-W Burnished Uncirculated Gold Eagles were officially released by the U.S. Mint on June 16, 2022. The U.S. Mint offered them at a price of $2,670 per coin on the first week of sales. The price set by the U.S.Mint, fluctuated weekly depending on the spot price of gold for the week. The coins had a maximum mintage of 9,000. The U.S. Mint also imposed a 1 coin per household rule for the first 24 hours from when the coins were officially released.
