The 1994-P Special Strike Jefferson nickel was only sold by the U.S Mint as part of the 1994 Thomas Jefferson Coinage and Currency Set. Each set had an uncirculated Thomas Jefferson Commemorative Silver Dollar, a 1976 uncirculated $2 bill and finally it also contained the 1994-P Special Strike Jefferson nickel. The pre-issue price of the set was originally set at $34 each and the regular price was then adjusted to $39 each.
Since the coins did not enter circulation and were all struck for the special set, most 1994- Special Strike Jefferson Nickels are in high uncirculated grades ranging from MS67 to being perfect.
