David Akers (1975/88):

This is the first year of the new type with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST added to the reverse above the eagle. The 1866 is very rare in any condition and VF and EF are the most commonly encountered grades. I know of several AU pieces and one blazing gem uncirculated piece.
