Judd 1275 is essentially an 1873 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar struck in Aluminum. According to Saul Teichman, these were struck for sale to collectors as part of complete sets of aluminum versions of the regular 1873 coins. Bowers calls these Rarity 8 (2 to 3 known) in the 10th edition of Judd, and Saul Teichman claims the same on the uspatterns.com website. However, we know of only one example (from the Simpson Collection), which may or may not be the coin from the Superior 6/1977 sale.
