The 2015-W $50 Proof Gold Eagles were first offered by the Mint on March 12, 2015. The coins were offered to the public at an issue price of $1,510. each. The coins carried the same design used on all Proof Gold Eagles that were first introduced in 1986. Most 2015-W $50 Proof Gold Eagles came well struck ranging from about PR68-69 Deep Cameo condition. Perfect PR70 DC examples proved to be more difficult to find.
