The 2015 Uncirculated Silver Eagles set a new mintage record as the Mint struck approximately 47 million coins. More than any other year since the inception of the Silver Eagle series. Demand for bullion silver related coins was very high throughout the year in 2015 which included demand for Silver Eagles. That and the low price of spot silver prices throughout the year, undoubtedly made the 2015 Silver Eagles reach new records highs.
