The 2009-D Kennedy Half Dollar was not issued for circulation. The coins were only sold to collectors by the U.S. Mint. Therefore, it's mintage is very low for a circulation strike coin. Since the coins did not circulate examples in uncirculated condition should be the norm. Only in MS67 condition or higher are they considered scarce.
