The Native American Dollar was introduced in 2009. Every year the coins reverse should display a different design and theme, recognizing the significant contributions made by Indian Tribes or Native Americans in this countries history.
Obverse: The 2009 Native American Dollar displays the same Sacagawea obverse design used on Sacagawea and Native American Dollars.
Reverse: The reverse features a Native American Indian planting seeds in a field with corn, beans and squash.
Position A: The coins edge inscriptions read upside-down when the coins obverse faces up.
Public Law: The Native American Dollars were struck under the Native American $1 Coin Act, Public Law 110-82.
