The Sarah Polk Spouse coin was the fourth and last design issued for the Spouse Coin Series in 2009. It was also the twelfth different design issued in the Spouse Coin Program.
Obverse: The obverse of the coin features Sarah Polk. It has the inscriptions, "Sarah Pol, In God We Trust, 11th 1845-1849, and Liberty 2009."
Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows Sarah Polk working with her husband James Polk at the White House. It has the inscriptions, United States of America, E Pluribus Unum $10 1/2 oz .9999 Fine Gold."
