Jaime Hernandez:

The $5 2007-W Burnished American Gold Eagles were officially released by the U.S. Mint on April 27, 2007. The Mint offered a $5, $10, $25 and $50 Burnished Gold Eagle separately or they could have also been purchased as a 4 piece set. The U.S. Mint sold the $5 2007-W Burnished Gold Eagles at $89.95 each, and the four piece set for $1,379.95.

There was no maximum mintage, as the coins were struck in quantities necessary to meet demand. The coins were offered five months earlier than the previous year's Burnished Gold Eagles.
