3 Ways to Make More Time for Numismatics

Hobbies are supposed to be a pastime – a recreational activity that you pursue for enjoyment. But what happens when time becomes scarcer than some of the coins you hope to collect? It happens to so many of us. There’s just never enough hours in the day to do everything we need – or want – to do. Work. Errands. Laundry. Pay the bills. Take the car to the shop about that funky noise. When is there any time to collect coins or banknotes?

Well, if that question represents the problem, let’s look at some solutions!

Carve out time each week

This may seem like an obvious solution, but it’s really not for so many. If you’re the kind of person who gets things done only when it's on a to-do list, then this is exactly what you need to do when making time for the hobby you love. Put it on your calendar! See if you can carve out even 30 minutes a week – “numismatic time” – to sit down and read a book about your favorite series, peruse PCGS CoinFacts or PCGS NoteFacts, or even take out the loupe and look at the items you already have in your collection. Just do it!
