PCGS Set Registry Update

On January 1, 1999, a unified currency called the euro was formed in Europe. Twenty out of 28 countries within the European Union adopted the euro as a standard currency. Vatican City was one of the countries that adopted the euro, and they first minted coins representing the new monetary system in 2002. Multiple denominations were issued, as well as commemorative coins. The coin shown above displays Raffaello Sanzio, who is known to the world as Raphael. The Renaissance painter was a master during his time. One of his finest works of art is titled "The School of Athens," and he was also a renowned architect. This coin and several others are included in the new PCGS Registry Set known as 2020 Vatican City Pope Francis Euro Set.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build.
