PCGS Set Registry Update

Artistry has thrived throughout Europe for many centuries, and many different forms exist. The process of engraving was developed in Europe, and eventually those methods made their way to coinage. German minting standards have excelled for centuries. Coins from the late 1700s, like the Bishopric of Eichstätt Thaler from 1781, feature a city view with cobblestones and a water fountain. Coins from the 1800s showcase lifelike images of statesmen, lions, eagles, and foliage.

The 1915-A Prussian Proof Three Mark shown above is part of the German States 3 Mark One From Each State, Proof (1908-1918) PCGS Registry Set. This magnificently engraved obverse depicts a horseman holding a lance and slaying a dragon; the adjacent legend reads, "With God's advice and assistance blessing of Mansfeld mining fields." The reverse shows the crowned imperial eagle in meticulous detail. Many other portrait-based coins from this era display marvelous craftsmanship -- you should take a peek at this set if you have an opportunity to do so!

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage, all the best in building your sets, and Happy Collecting, folks!
