Annual production of Proof Sets did not really take off until the mid 1950s, so the sets from the early 1950s are considerably scarcer than those of just a few years later. Cameo frosting (DC) is seldom seen on these sets, and of the current Registry sets, only the top two have any at all – and they have only one each.
