The last "Vintage" Proof set would appear this year, and would include two Jefferson Nickels, in both the regular copper & nickel composition and the 35% silver composition instituted due to the World War. As in nearly all the 1936-42 Proof Sets, a Cent in PR68 is not in the cards, but all other denominations are available in that grade. This set marks the end of an era, and Proof Set production would not resume until 1950 by which time the iconic Walking Liberty Half and Mercury Dime would be replaced with their more modern successors.
