The last Mint Set of the 20th century contained two coins from each denomination (P & D mints) plus the five State Quarters from the second year of the popular program. This year marked the debut of the Sacagawea Dollar and several varieties are collectible including the special "Goodacre" finish, the Cheerios Dollar, and the Wounded Eagle variety from the Philadelphia mint and the Millennium Set issue from the Denver Mint. The special "Cheerios" coin (with a prototype reverse) is quite scarce, and despite the mint having placed 5500 pieces in random boxes of the cereal, only a few dozen have been found.
