The Mint Set for 1912 marked the swan song for the Liberty Nickel, and for its farewell, both Denver and San Francisco got in on the act by striking them for the first time. San Francisco though did not strike many, and this has resulted in the 1912-S Nickel becoming one of the keys to this set.
