The Three Cent Silver piece made its debut this year, the first new non-gold denomination since 1796. They are not scarce. However the 1851 Silver Dollar is tough, with a small mintage of only 1300 coins. Due to the high price of silver, nearly all the mint's output of dollar coins this year was struck in gold. The 1851-O Quarter is a condition rarity, with only one piece graded higher than MS-62 by PCGS.
