This ten-piece set includes more New Orleans issues than usual – they struck all four of the circulating silver pieces this year - Half Dime, Dime, Quarter and Half. As mintages for all were high, none of these issues will present much difficulty. Only seven gold issues were struck in 1841. Philadelphia officially struck no Quarter Eagles for circulation, and only Eagles are known from New Orleans this year, though 50 Half Eagles were reported to have been struck. On the subject of Eagles, the 1841-O (with a mintage of only 2,500 pieces) is an extremely tough coin, with no Mint State examples and only a dozen AU's certified by PCGS.
