The sporadic striking of denominations in the mint's early years lead to a small set for 1798. No Half Cents, Half Dimes, Quarters or Halves were made, leaving only a Cent, a Dime and two Dollar coins for 1798 - one displaying the Small Eagle reverse and the other showing the later Heraldic Eagle reverse. None of these are rare dates for their types, but it goes without saying that top grade early U.S. coins are always in high demand and short supply.
