The short-lived Classic Head Quarter Eagle (struck for only six years, 1834-39) served as the bridge between the rare Capped Head type and the Liberty Head type that would last into the early 20th century. Struck at four different mints (in 1839), this short set has no extreme rarities, but the "C" and "D" mint issues will prove the toughest, particularly in Mint State. Only a handful of these dated after 1836 are known above MS-62.
