The silver dollar is the largest silver coin issued by the United States. Although not very popular in their day, in today’s numismatic market they represent some of the most desirable issues of any denomination. From the 1794-95 Flowing Hair dollar to the current issue, the Sacagawea “golden” dollar, all these dollar coins are popular. The Draped Bust, Gobrecht, Liberty Seated, Trade, Morgan, and Peace dollars are all highly collectible today. The Morgan dollar series, of course, is one of the most widely-collected coins in American numismatics! Even the Eisenhower and Anthony dollars, unpopular during their issuance, have their supporters today. The Registry sets of all the dollar coins are some of the most competitive in all of numismatics.
