About This Set: This 20th Century Type Set was started 9/97 with the purchase of a 1938D Buffalo TYPE II nickel from Bowers and Merena Galleries. This set was inspired by a feature article that appeared in “The Numismatist” on the January 1998. The article was entitled “Assembling the Ideal 20-Century Type Set” authored by David W. Lange. Mr. Lange’s ideal set contained two additional coins that are not in the composition of the PCGS registry set. The additional types according to Mr. Lange should be a Lincoln Memorial Cent, Bronze, 1959-61 and a Copper-nickel Jefferson with FS, 1966 to Date. One stunning feature pertaining to the set, almost all silver coins are 100% white, well struck business issue coins. You would be challenged to find very little toning coins in this set. The set contains no proofs, SMS, or other presentational pieces, except for the required 1994 SMS Jefferson nickel. This set is part of a collections with the goal to include two mint sets and gold 20-Century Types. The 20th Century Type Set was completed on 1/7/2004 with the purchase of a toneless 1900-S Barber Dime in MS64. It has been a enjoy assembling this set together the past six years. (Jan. 2004)

Really nice set! Love the Barber quarter. It'd be great to see some pictures of some of your other silver from this set.
