I enjoy collecting the old and now extinct denominations.: Two Cent Pieces, Three Cent Nickels and Twenty Cent Pieces. I also have a Carson City Mint Set with examples of all ten gold and silver coins produced at that mint. My great grandfather was a Civil War veteran who also collected coins. He left several dozen old coins in a leather purse which was handed down through the family. I received them as a kid. This is what got me started with collecting.
